It has been remarked that if Erasmo Fuentes had not been born his talent would have been sufficient to supply an entire town.
Erasmo Fuentes was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico in 1943, and received his first education in visual Art under the instruction of his father Arturo Fuentes, a sculptor, and the first taxidermist in Northern Mexico in 1938. At the age of twenty-one Erasmo moved to Provo, Utah and continued his formation as a sculptor at Brigham Young University under the direction of Dallas Anderson.
Erasmo Fuentes' work is currently found in art collections in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America, China, and Korea.
